We’re an independent, small batch distillery making handcrafted spirits for people who care about how things are made. Using only hand-selected grains, we mill, mash, ferment, distill, age, blend, and bottle – bringing the highest quality spirits from the farm to you.
A small neighborhood brewery in Avondale, West of the Ashley in lovely Charleston, South Carolina. We are focused on creating beers that showcase the nuances of traditional ingredients and fermentation.
COAST Brewing Company is a family owned craft brewery, on an old Navy base. We make beer we like to drink, simple and done well. We believe in choice organic and local ingredients. But it’s not just about being organic, it’s a certain mind set of considering the environment in everything we do. In fact, we’re not certified organic and have no plans to be-we do it because we believe it’s the right thing. All of our ingredients are listed including which are organic.
Jamie Martin, Michael Gates and Dustin Pait spent a lot of time on back porches, cooking out with their families and loving life. They talked often about the idea of starting a brewery, and realized their personal strengths would blend into a great business partnership. Jamie has always enjoyed visiting breweries around the country, while Michael and his wife had a home brewing kit in their garage for years. Dustin had a nose for an excellent IPA. The character and vibe of Charleston were ideal for another brewery option. After ten years and a lot of thought, they decided to take the leap and pursue a dream.
Fatty… the greatest time-traveling brewmaster the world has never known.

Founded by bearded friends who love creativity and craft beer, Frothy Beard started brewing adventure in 2013. Life’s too short to drink boring beer.
Ghost Monkey Brewery was born from a shared passion and friendship. Many conversations over various beers revolved around our own ideas for local brews. Thus, the idea of Ghost Monkey Brewery was born. The name, however, was from Josh’s personal experience of being robbed by a ghost-like monkey with quick speed. Today, we pride ourselves on offering a consistent rotation of locally brewed beer. Made right here in Mount Pleasant with an attached taproom, our dream of developing new beers and sharing with them with friends over great food and live music is coming alive.
Located in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, SC, High Wire Distilling Company is dedicated to making premium, handcrafted, small batch spirits. Our approach is simple: seek the finest ingredients available and develop recipes using a creative, culinary approach. All of our products are batch distilled in a hand-hammered, German copper still to create the finest Southern spirits available.
Holy City Brewing has become a local favorite in a very short time. Their year rounds are true classics, a hoppy German pilsner and a porter that, somehow, is still refreshing in warm weather. Seasonals run the gamut from IPA, to stout, to Belgian Strong Pale Ale, to bacon porter. Yes, bacon porter. Don’t tell your cardiologist.
The Lagunitas Brewing Co. was not so much an act of ordinary ‘foundling’ as it was willed into being by the unspoken desire of supportive beer-lovers in Northern California after which they continued to nurture their creation and urged us forward to fulfill the unifying needs of that same beer-loving diaspora from coast to coast and beyond. It is good to have friends!
Pure Luxury beer made on Meeting Street in Charleston, SC
The name “Low Tide Brewing” was conceived while kayaking on the waters around Johns Island in 2012, but Mike’s dream of starting a brewery began long before that. Mike started home brewing in the basement of his fraternity house and always held on to the dream of opening up his own brewery. After a two-year stent in Australia, Mike decided it was time to make his dream into a reality. After finishing his business degree and while working for CB Craft Brewers in his native upstate New York, he headed back to settle in his favorite city and hit the ground running. Andy joined Low Tide in 2015 to continue the journey of opening Johns Island first brewery. Andy, a Colorado native, has worked with the folks at O’Dell’s and was the head brewer at Benson Brewing in Nebraska. Together, Mike and Andy dedicated themselves to not only creating delicious, unique Low Tide beers, but also crafting custom beers in collaboration with restaurants and bars in the low country. With a unique model and things moving forward, Low Tide opened its doors March 12, 2016.
As the oldest brewery in South Carolina, we’ve been making great beer since 1993. We got our start during a windsurfing trip to the Columbia River Gorge. While sipping beer from a local brewery during a windsurfing break, we decided Charleston deserved more than yellow fizzy beer – they deserved a brewery to call their own.
Rev·el·ry: n. boisterous festivities, while enjoying craft beer
We love to make good beer. We are excited that our beery dream has come true, and appreciate everyone who has helped make it possible. We like to give back. From time to time, you find us committing our proceeds and networking with cool people who champion causes that we believe in, to help make this world a little better. From the kitchen stove, to late night sessions on the pilot system in the garage with the boombox blasting, we’ve enjoyed making good beer for years. Now we get to share the love with you. That’s enough of the sappy talk, back to the beer. We like our beers to focus on being themselves. You have to raise them up that way, so they have a sense of individualism, in a world filled with categories and those who would “pigeon hole” them. Sure, they’ll come across others that seem to resemble some of their characteristics, but in the end it’s all about getting to let it all hang out.
Everything about Striped Pig is customized to our exact preferences, therefore delivering you the best product for your taste buds. Our product begins in our own mill where the mash is created then filters into our machinery. Our top-of-the-line machinery was designed from start to finish by our distillers and owners, Johnny Pieper, Jim Craig and Todd Weiss. Not only did they design every aspect of the machinery, (on a cocktail napkin at that!) but also put it together themselves. No detail was overlooked in creating our state of the art, custom-made copper plate condensers and stainless steel boilers.
Welcome to the Beer Education Outreach Center (aka the Taproom). This is our space to hang out and discuss our creations with new and seasoned beer palates. Think of it as the beer-skinned rug by the fire, or a liquid hug, or a snuggie….what ever reminds you of your happy place that had a love child with other peoples’ happy places. If you want to talk about beer, we will talk about beer. If you want to take a look around, we will gladly show you our quaint facility. If you’d like to entertain a small group, we can be your hosts. If you are hunting for beer or gifts, we can be your one-stop shop. We offer a unique tasting experience and environment. Aside from our 15 taps, we have several rooms, two bars, A/C, TVs, Vinyl, Darts, and more. We have food trucks on the regular, we are kid friendly (since beer might have helped make them) and having families around keeps us grounded in who we really work for.
